INSTRUCTIONS

  • All seam allowances are 3/8" unless otherwise noted
  • Straight stitch length is 2.5
  • Overlock length is 3
  • Thread color should match body color as closely as possible

OVERLOCK STITCH EDGE OF BIB FACING

STITCH STRAP

With right sides together, fold back 3/4" from each short edge and stitch long side

TURN STRAP

Using a crochet hook or bodkin, turn strap right side out

PRESS STRAP

Press flat with seam in the middle of strap

CUT STRAP IN HALF AT 45° ANGLE

Fold strap in half and cut bottom edge at a 45° as close to fold as possible

APPLY SIZE & LOGO LABEL

In the true middle of finished strap (wearer's RIGHT) stitch size label & logo label with both raw edges turned under

PRESS BINDING

STITCH STRAPS & BINDING TO PANTS BACK

With right sides together, pin straps to pants back at markings. Then stitch binding to top edge of pants back, securing straps as you go.

APPLY ELASTIC TO CASING

Align elastic to top edge of back waist and mark at the halfway point. Then, ensuring that elastic does not get caught, stitch binding 1/16" from folded edge. Pull long tail of elastic until you can see your marking, stitch secure, and trim excess.

ATTACH PANTS BACK TO ROMPER FRONT

With right sides together, align front & back pants side seams. Fold bib facing down (sandwiching pants back between front body and bib facing) and stitch from top of bib to bottom edge of bib facing

OVERLOCK STITCH SIDE SEAMS & CROTCH SEAMS

STITCH POCKET & TURN

Fold pocket piece in half, right sides together, and stitch around edges, leaving 1" free at top corner. Turn right side out, shape corners & press.

APPLY FINISHED POCKET TO FRONT BIB

Topstitch pocket to bib front 1 1/4" down from top of bib (stitching through both body & facing) 1/8" from finished pocket edge

HEM PANTS

Double fold under raw edge 1/4" and stitch 1/16" from folded edge
