THE BEYA MADE STORY
Hi! I'm Laurel.
I don't know about you, but once upon a time I had a nice, clean, organized house, time to relax with my partner and friends, and a general sense of calm and balance.
And then I had a baby.
LIKE SO MANY NEW PARENTS, I SUDDENLY FOUND MYSELF SURROUNDED BY AN EXPLOSION OF BABY-RELATED STUFF THAT WAS ALLEGEDLY NECESSARY.
Maybe you started out with a dresser filled with Mari-Kondo-folded organic basics but pretty soon your child's room looked like this, am I right?
BUT...I WAS THE PROBLEM
I used to design for the largest fast fashion baby brand on earth.
I was the person creating those irresistibly on-trend outfits that would be outgrown after a few wears and banished to the back of the closet. Or your trunk, Or a landfill.
In other words, I made very adorable FUTURE TRASH.
When I had my own baby, I realized that the way we were making baby clothes was causing a LOT of unnecessary clutter and overwhelm for parents.
So I decided to use my design skills for GOOD.
Using old-school techniques, I designed a collection of expandable clothing that would allow parents to consume 3x less clothing. And it was durable enough to last not just seasons, but generations of happy kiddos.
It's my mission to help parents re-claim their space, and more importantly, their TIME.
Because at the end of the day, what our kids need most isn't more stuff, it's more US.
